Alma and the Wolf (2025)
By William Pattison
My next review is on the heavily psychological horror art
house film Alma and the Wolf.
Set on the Oregon coast, troubled police officer Ren Accord
investigates a mysterious wolf attack. Matters escalate when his estranged son
vanishes during the case.
Ren starts having disturbing visions of a demonic white dogman
and rams and it all leads to the horrifying conclusion.
This was definitely a film I will put on my freaky list. It goes from a sheriff deputy finding a bloody woman on the road to a complete acid nightmare. The dogman and ram people are brilliantly created. The plot and performance were well done. All I can say is if you enjoy your horror with a heavy psychological edge you will enjoy this film. I highly recommend it.
