Mouseboat Massacre (2025)

For my next review I'm doing the 2025 cartoon character slasher film.
The story follows a young woman battling a drug addiction who suddenly begins to see a mutated mouse human hybrid who infests her life. Those around her begin to drop like flies.
This film is unfortunately part of the tread where horror filmmakers take famous IP cartoon characters that have hit public domain and turn them into slashers. This started with Winney the Poe Blood and Honey and the trend went nuts. All of a sudden we have the Grinch killing people and Peter Pan. Shit, there is an upcoming Bambi'Revenge film about a demonic deer killing people. In regard to Mickey Mouse this is the second slasher film featuring a killer wearing a mask of the Disney icon.
This English film is no work of art. It steals a bit from The Ring. In this film the Mickey killer is manifested when you play a freaky cartoon, which is a twisted version of Steamboat Willy. This killer actually does have his own boat. The acting is over the top. The plot is stereotype supernatural slasher with next to nothing relating to Mickey Mouse except the mask.
For me it wasn't that entertaining. Also I would definitely not show this to children unless you like spending money on therapy. As far as this film goes I cannot recommend it, except if you are in the minority who actually likes this dreck.
